Beauty recipes with olive oil

Sugar facial and body scrub

This is the most common facial scrub in countries where olive oil is produced in large quantities. If you have access to extra virgin olive oil, don’t hesitate to use soma drops to maintain a shiny, deeply moisturized and soft skin!

Ingredients, preparation and application:

In a small container or a cup, mix 1 tablespoon of olive oil with 2 tablespoons of brown or white sugar, depending on which of them you have.

Apply this mixture onto your face without including eyes and the area around your eyes. You may also apply the scrub onto your lips, another part of our body that sometimes needs exfoliation.

If you want to exfoliate a part of your body, prepare a larger amount of the scrub. And apply it directly to it, just like you do with facial application.

Work the product on your skin with clean hands and then rinse it off thoroughly with cold water. Cold water makes wonders for a skin that has just been exfoliating. Wipe your face or your body with a clean cotton towel. Finally, moisturize your skin with a little amount of your daily cream or your body lotion respectively.

Repeat once a week.

Aloe Vera nail treatment

Our nails deserve to be appropriately cared. There are some natural ways to take care of them, one of which is the following homemade treatment. It’s the easiest and purest way to get rid of nail or finger fungus.

Ingredients needed:

  • 1/2 cup aloe vera gel
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/3 cup lavender oil or/and tea tree oil – they both have antiseptic and anti-fungal properties
  • 6 drops lemon essential oil

Process and use:

Mix all the ingredients together in a clean bowl. Clean your hands or feet with warm water and a pure (maybe green) soap. Dry them up thoroughly with a clean cotton towel. Apply this homemade nail treatment directly to your defected nails. Leave it as much as you can. Prefer applying before sleep, so you’ll be able to leave it during all night long.

Repeat the same procedure at least twice a week for a while. It may take some weeks, depending on the seriousness of the problem.
